Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. Drivers are also urged to only purchase the fuel they need to fill their vehicles, not to stockpile.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 7 October 2026), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 14.2 cents per litre (cpl) to 244.3 cpl with EG Ampol and BP up to 259.9 cpl; Ampol up to 255.9 cpl; Caltex up to 253.9 cpl; and 7-Eleven and Shell Reddy Express up to 249.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 24 individual sites offering ULP below 226 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 43 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $25 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 221.5 cpl at Shell High Wycombe in the East;
- 217.3 cpl at Burk Cannington and Burk Oakford in the South; and
- 219.3 cpl at Burk Mount Lawley in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 221.3 cpl at Vibe Upper Swan in the East;
- 216.3 cpl at Burk Oakford in the South; and
- 219.2 cpl at Vibe Subiaco in the North.
