Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 30 April 2025), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 32 cents per litre (cpl) to 189.1 cpl with Shell Reddy Express hiking up to 207.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, EG Ampol and Caltex up to 205.9 cpl; Ampol and BP up to 199.9 cpl; Vibe up to 199.7 cpl; and United up to 199.5 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 21 individual sites offering ULP below 155 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 57 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $34 on a 60 litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 151.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Midvale in the East;
- 149.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport (Costco sites are membership based) and 150.7 cpl at 7-Eleven Cockburn Central in the South; and
- 150.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 154.5 cpl at Atlas Fuel Forrestfield in the East;
- 150.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and 151.3 cpl at Burk Camillo in the South; and
- 150.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.
