Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 15 January 2025), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 31 cents per litre (cpl) to 196.7 cpl with Ampol hiking up to 212.9 cpl; EG Ampol, Reddy Express/Coles Express up to 211.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, BP and Caltex up to 209.9 cpl; Vibe up to 209.7 cpl; and United up to 205.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 22 individual sites offering ULP below 165 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying petrol from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 52 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $31 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 161.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Brabham, 7-Eleven Middle Swan, 7-Eleven Wattle Grove and EG Ampol Brabham in the East;
- 159.9 cpl at EG Ampol South Lake in the South; and
- 159.9 cpl at EG Ampol Greenwood in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 165.3 cpl at Vibe Forrestfield in the East;
- 160.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (Costco sites are membership based) and Costco Perth Airport and 161.7 cpl at Metro Canning Vale in the South; and
- 161.3 cpl at 7-Eleven Alkimos in the North.
