Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 22 January 2025), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 29 cents per litre (cpl) to 197.7 cpl with Ampol hiking up to 214.9 cpl; Reddy Express/Coles Express and EG Ampol up to 213.9 cpl; 7-Eleven up to 211.9 cpl; Vibe up to 211.7 cpl; BP and Caltex up to 209.9 cpl; and United up to 205.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 25 individual sites offering ULP below 168 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 55 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $33 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 163.9 cpl at 7-Eleven Brabham, Shell Reddy Express Forrestfield, Shell Reddy Express Middle Swan and Shell Reddy Express Upper Swan Roadhouse in the East;
- 161.9 cpl at Ampol Foodary South Lake in the South; and
- 160.8 cpl at NightOwl Shell Highgate in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 159.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Stratton in the East;
- 162.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina (Costco sites are membership based) and Costco Perth Airport, and 165.3 cpl at Burk Camillo in the South; and
- 163.3 cpl at Burk Landsdale in the North.
