Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.
FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 19 March 2025), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by over 32 cents per litre (cpl) to 193.2 cpl with EG Ampol hiking up to 211.9 cpl; BP, Caltex and Reddy Express/Coles Express up to 209.9 cpl; 7-Eleven up to 207.9 cpl; United up to 205.9 cpl; Vibe up to 205.7 cpl; and Ampol up to 199.9 cpl.
Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 29 individual sites offering ULP below 160 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying ULP from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 56 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $33 on a 60-litre tank.
Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 156.9 cpl at S24 Crystal Brook (Lesmurdie) in the East;
- 155.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport (Costco sites are membership based) and 155.9 cpl at 22 sites in the South; and
- 155.3 cpl at Burk Bassendean in the North.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:
- 159.3 cpl at Vibe Kalamunda in the East;
- 155.7 cpl at Costco Perth Airport and 156.9 cpl at Atlas Fuel Ascot in the South; and
- 155.3 cpl at Burk Bassendean in the North.
