CPD training providers information

The continuing professional development (CPD) program helps property industry professionals stay up to date with:

  • industry developments;
  • legislative changes; and
  • best work practices.

You must be an approved training provider to deliver CPD training.

CPD for property professionals has further information about the framework and requirements for achieving CPD. 

Applying to be an approved CPD training provider

Any organisation or individual can become an approved CPD training provider

You must show a:

  • strong history in delivering property services subject matter;
  • record of training excellence in property services;
  • commitment to improving property professionals' skills to meet their CPD responsibilities;
  • CPD delivery framework showing how training will be delivered (online, in-person or other) to a high standard; and
  • record of relevant qualifications and expertise of individual employees.

You must also agree to follow the Conditions of approval

To apply to become an approved training provider:

  • complete the application form;
  • attach any supporting evidence (as outlined in the form); and
  • submit via email.

Assessment

Your application will be assessed for approval

You may be asked for extra information to support your application. You must provide this within 14 days. You can ask for an extension. Applications may be refused if the requested information is not provided in time

Assessment outcome

You will receive a written notice of the outcome within 28 working days of assessment. This timeframe is extended if extra information was requested

Approval details

Approval is granted for three calendar years from the approval date

Some approvals will have specific conditions, which must be followed

All approved CPD training providers must comply with the Conditions of approval.

Renewals

You will need to:

  • re-apply using the same initial application form; and
  • submit your renewal application at least three months before your current approval expires

Refusals 

  • You will be given written reasons for the refusal if your application is refused.
  • You can re-apply once you have adequately addressed the reasons for refusal.

Revocation (Loss of approval)

You can lose your approval if you:

  • do not follow the Conditions of approval;
  • do not deliver training in line with the subject and topic guidelines;
  • do not follow any part of the regulations.
