Charities authorised to collect in Western Australia
You can check if an organisation is allowed to collect money or goods for charitable purposes in Western Australia (WA) by searching:
- the online licence search for a WA charitable collections licence holder
- the list of ACNC‑registered organisations with a deemed licence to collect in WA.
Keep in mind:
- Not every organisation is required to be licensed, some exceptions apply.
- You can find contact details for organisations registered with the ACNC on the ACNC Charity Register.
Online licence search for WA charitable collections licence holders
You can use the online licence search to check if an organisation has a WA Charitable Collections licence.
You can search by:
- Number: Type the licence number into the field on the opening screen.
- Licence type and location or name: Click ‘Type’, then select ‘Charity’ from the licence type list. Then enter an organisation name or location.
Authorised ACNC‑registered charities
When available, we will publish a list showing ACNC registered charities approved to run charitable collections in WA.
These organisations have a deemed licence which means they are recognised as having a licence in WA.
