Extension of the COVID-19 rent laws emergency period
It’s important for WA landlords to know that the State Government has extended the emergency period under the Residential Tenancies (COVID-19 Response) Act 2020 until 28 March 2021.

Second chance at rent grant
Following the extension of the COVID-19 rent laws, the Residential Rent Relief Grant Scheme is entering a second phase. Tenants who benefitted during the first emergency period may qualify for another rent grant of up to $2,000, to be paid to their landlord. The online application form is open until 28 March 2021.
